France

You get there and it is just as you imagine. But nicer. Much nicer. Rolling hills covered by vineyards. Vineyards that are so neat and so  straight you wonder how they do it. The landscape in the south of France is breathtaking. It’s the type of scenery that makes you want to mover there. straight away. When we arrived in Limoux we were blessed with nothing but sunshine. Oh and how long it has been with no sunshine!. En route to our guest house we decided to take a trip into the towns square. Limoux holds a 3 moth carnival that had a parade 3 times a day on the weekend all with different dance troupes and costumes. Our arrival coincided perfectly, so we took some centre seats and waited.

The carnival dancers were fantastic. But slightly odd. The move slow and  wade through the crowds. Throwing confetti in place of flour which I managed to get a full face off! They sway their  wands high as they go followed by the brass band. Quite odd.

When we reached our guesthouse it was just what we had wanted. A boutique style, in rural France. If you are near Carcassonne, take a trip to Limoux and stay here – you will not be disappointed.  During our stay at the guest house when went on a half day walk  roaming around the hills past the vineyards, before we went to the O’Vineyards winery. This was my first real wine tasting and I loved it!

.

Our next stop was Carcassonne. The medieval city in the south of France. We stayed at a guest a mile from the town , and I wish we would have booked more time there. It was sat on a big field with horses, with  a beautiful view of the city

Harold Park;Ben and Jodi

They smile when you ask them how they met. They both share in telling  you the story.Their story.

Ben had just finished an interview at Oxford University Press. An interview that  would quite literally change his life. After the interview he was taken downstairs and shown the exit by an  attractive girl.  A girl he found so attractive that she would grace the pages of the journal that  he kept at the time. The girl, she was Jodi.

Ben was a successful candidate! Stealing time over shared breaks and long lunches Jodi and Ben realised that they shared something more than just a  workspace. They shared a friendship.A love. A future.

Ben and Jodi are writing their own story. Everyday, filling  a page with love, life and plenty of laughter.

As we walked around the park and talked about life. It was obvious to see what a perfect match  they are for each other. So at ease. As real love is.

Ben and Jodi, you are a dream to photograph! I cannot wait for you wedding day.

Enjoy your images x

Rhythm lessons.

Double  knee. Indecision. shuffle. shuffle. double knee. Reverse Kick.
There were 3 things that hit me half way through my step class. 1 - This was not for beginners. 2-I actually dont have any rhythm. 3- My blogging has been really bad lately.

So, I promised myself that this time, I am going to make time. I must. And I am also going to look for an easier class - and some rhythm lessons!

Lee and Michelle;pre wedding

It was the sort of forecast that you don't want.Rain. But hey ho,off to pre wedding shoots we go.Because really, its just rain. The worst that happens is that we get wet. However, as it turned out the rain held off. All the way to the end. Then we started to get a few drops.
Michelle and lee decided to have their pre wedding shoot at Kirkstall Abbey and what a great choice. Inside the ruins you get this gorgeous light. Seriously.

it was an absolute pleasure meeting with Lee and Michelle. As we walked around the abbey we chatted. Casually. Sharing pieces of ourselves. And having fun. It is obvious to see why these to are getting married. They compliment each other so well. They laugh. Together. A-lot, which I love. Sometimes they even laughed with me.I'm pretty sure it wasn't at me.....
Either way I am thrilled to be shooting their wedding next month!

Lee and Michelle enjoy your pictures.
