3BMedia Weddings

Last week I was one of the 8 fortunate delegates to attend the 3BMedia wedding workshop. Earlier in the year I attend their Urban Portraits course which was equally fabulous - which I posted
here.
I arrived at the Woodlands hotel and met the other delegates and the 3B boys, Barnaby Aldrick, Phil Barber and Rob Booker.
The hotel was beautiful and gave us the perfect backdrop for our images.I love attending workshops of this kind, because you get to learn, throw yourself into your passion but not have the weight on your shoulders as the real the thing.

I love wedding photography and now even more. As Phil taught the basis of pre wedding shoots and getting the most from your clients, the sun cleared through the predictable English rain - just in time for us to start shooting.

I worked hard and my camera thanked me every now and again - and gave me something to smile about.

One of my fellow delegates Kirsten was on the Urban Portraits course with me. It was so nice to see a familiar face. As we got up to speed on the events of the year we exchanged details. She has her own website - here - and it doing some brilliant pictures....

Below are a few images from the day. Thank you 3B boys for being fun, relaxed & fabulous!

Luke,Thea & Noah.

A couple of weeks ago I was asked by Luke of Kuel to photograph his children, Thea & Noah. I must say I was slightly apprehensive with him being a photographer in the past himself. He now owns a graphic/illustration company - Kuel.

Thea and Noah were extremely cute!!! We had a great time walking round Roundhay Park, and Noah even found himself a 4 leave clover - as luck would have it!
More images can be seen on the online gallery here.

Happy Wednesday.

Strawberry Avenue.

I recently collaborated with a new company - Strawberry Avenue.
Strawberry avenue is a fresh new business. A cake business, specialising in cupcakes. They are delightful to say the least. A small mouthful of heaven.Being the dessert lover that I am it would be rude not to sample some of these fabulous delicacies. And my favourite so far was the lemon surprise. Divine.

Half way through.

It can happen to the best and it happens to the rest. You can get lost, feel slightly off track - wondering if you are on the right path. But then you find it. Reassurance.Knowing. The pulling inside that you are right where you need to be. The comfort in finding yourself, being OK with who you are and how in my case I chose to blog and take images.

I am excited about the new changes taking place behind the scenes, and the progression that is being made. I am half way through the year, half way through completing my goals. There are some that I can mark off, and there are new ones I am adding. But I am excited. Changes are coming.

Happy Thursday.

Gary and Jillian wedding

Gary and Jillian's wedding vow renewal was nothing short of Fabulous. Jillian was dressed in a beautifully boned cappuccino pleated dress-Vintage jewellery and gorgeous shoes to match. TheHerriot hotel was the perfect boutique hotel to give their wedding the finishing touch. The weather was set for rain, but it seems prayers were answered as they celebrated with their wedding party in nothing but warmth and sunshine.

Gary and Jillian, I have said it before and will say it again. You are beautiful inside and out. You ooze style and glamour effortlessly. Thank you for letting me document your love.

A sample of change.

There are going to be a few changes happening to the website and the blog in the next coming weeks. To show a sample of one of the small changes, I thought I would preview a wedding that I shot last week of Jillian and Gary at the Herriots Hotel in Skipton.

U.I.A

U.I.A is an new urban street clothes line that is soon to grace selective stores. Up In Arms (U.I.A) is seriously slick, much like the boys behind the designs. We did some casual shots for their website - You can buy these and check out more designs on their site . You can also follow more of what they are doing on their blog- definitely more hot things to come!

Stalker

It happens naturally, your eye catches something it likes the look of and wants to see more. This happened when I came across all 4 of these blogs. These photographers are extremely talented and to my eye have that edge. They take images-that make you want to take images that good!! I am a self admitted blog stalker, some people don't miss their favourite soap - I don't miss my favourite blogs....
Its such a great way to learn as well, because they are experienced in their field that offer advice and FAQ's!

Take a peak and I know you will see something you like:

Truly amazing photographers!!

A touch of Vintage & and a glint of Gold!

Ah, how I love the days of freedom.Sunday saw myself, make up artist jenny - a good friend of mine, and an aspiring model Jessica Crow doing our take on Vintage. We went to the same location as with Symone & Grace. I just love this place.
I love shooting on location because you work with the elements and you get that really raw feeling. The sun was bright, but we rocked it using a sun bounce that just added that glint of gold onto Jessica.

Jennifer - you do wonders with make-up! Seriously, love that we are a team.
Jessica - you rocked the shoot - I am sure this is just the start.
